The Gospel of John was written “that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31). He became a man and lived on this earth a little over thirty years. He was declared righteous by a Roman court, but was nevertheless crucified. After three days He rose again and forty days later He ascended into heaven. He will return again, first to take to Himself all those who believed in Him in order to keep them with Him forever, and then to judge the world and establish His kingdom with power.
